This high plate is a Kutani ware especially called Yoshidaya style, which combines strong colors of yellow, green, purple, and navy blue and paints them thickly. This high plate has a harmonious and calm appearance. The house reminds one of the rich Kaga clan, the trees with bell-shaped berries, and the pine trees that shelter from strong winds. Fishing boats can be seen in the distance, perhaps heading for the mountains. The rim is decorated with auspicious patterns such as seigaiha (blue ocean waves) and shippo (cloisonne), and the back is decorated with a full arabesque pattern. It is a powerful piece.
