Open price
This plate skillfully depicts the Japanese autumn's hazy moonlit night. The semicircle represents the half moon. There are wispy clouds on the front side of the moon. In this lightly overcast scene, the seven autumnal flowers, hagi (bush clovers), are blooming strongly. (The autumnal flowers are the seven kinds of flowers selected by the Nara period poet Yamanoueno Okura in his book Manyoshu. Hagi(bush clovers), Japanese pampas grass, Bellflower, Dianthus, kudzu‐vine, Fujibakama, and Yellow patrinia.)
