incense burner made by 14th Kakiemon - Item Code: C000053
¥25,000(tax not included)
This incense burner in the Kakiemon style was the model for Meissen porcelain. The milky-white base, called “nigoshide,” is decorated with flowers such as plum blossoms, autumn leaves, and gerbera, and the handle is decorated with komainu (lion-like animal statues placed in front of shrines and temples). The face of this komainu is not scary at all. 14th Kakiemon is recognized as a holder of Important Intangible Cultural Asset (Living National Treasure) in the field of colored porcelain. https://kakiemon.co.jp/en/
